If you’re gonna show Stargell because he pumps the bat like that, then you gotta show Joe Morgan.

Two more from a little further back. The number 1 weirdest batting stance I ever saw belonged to  utility guy/back up catcher John Wockenfuss of the Tigers back in the 70s/80s. Seriously you gotta go look, it was insane. Twisted up feet, head cocked at a weird angle....it was almost painful to watch this guy. Number 2 was Dwight "Dewey" Evans who played the outfield for some great Bosox teams along with Rice and Fisk etc. A big guy with a pigeon toed closed stance, I remember that Ted Williams was asked about Evans stance and he said " looking at him bat makes me want to puke" .

Mickey Tettleton, Julio Franco and Juan Gonzalez all had the strangest stances to me back when I watched them play.

A lot of these, the inital setup is weird, but then when the pitch is coming, they revert back to something more usual to actually swing. I probably worded this terribly.
