I like when people say baseball players aren't athletic... You simply can teach these plays

title "one in a million plays" proceeds to show 1500 double plays in a row. These happen literally all the damn time in baseball.

Joe Mauer coming in with two of these himself (should have been three but they didn’t include the time he reached around the net to make a foul back catch) if he does not make it to the hall of fame, I will be so disappointed

If you want to be pedantic, sure. But to be fair, if you're talking on average 27 outs per team per game, each team plays 162 games a year, then there are 30're at over 130,000 plays per year without including postseason games. Showed a mixture of plays from very old to very new. Let's even just say 30 years of plays. That's like 4 million plays to cull from. On average, maybe 15 seconds per play in this compilation, so 4 plays per minute or less depending on how long they linger. Say 60 plays. So 60 plays out of literally millions isn't *so* bad.

If it's the one at 13:57, there were runners on 1st and 2nd base. The fielder catches the ball for the first out. Because it was caught, the runners had to return to their original bases. The fielder stepped on 2nd base before that runner made it back; that's out #2. He then tagged the nearby runner who had to return to 1st. That's out #3.

                                                                              • Noel Padilla

Adam Engel of the White Sox made 3 HR robbing catches that had left the yard. Whats the big deal? They came in back to back to back games, but somehow didn't make this video.

The greatest and rarest play of all time was never caught on camera:
Walk-off inside-the-park grand slam (Roberto Clemente).

Also, while some very rare events are spectacular, some are not:
                                                                                    - Unassisted triple plays happen so fast, Asdrubal Cabrera just threw the ball into the stands, unaware of what he had just done. The play itself is amazing, just it’s mostly routine putouts.
                                                                                    - Walk-off hit-by-a-pitch or walk-off wild pitch or international BB with bases loaded are just Uh-moments.
                                                                                    - In a 4-strikeout innings, a runner could actually reach first base, meaning someone did something wrong.
                                                                                    - In an immaculate inning, nothing happens except some wind.
                                                                                    - A 3-pitch inning is usually only routine plays
                                                                                    - Scoring a run after 4 consecutive BBs is just lame.
