TEDxESCP is an independently organised TED event, by students of ESCP Europe in Paris.
    Curator, TEDxESCP: Johannes Bittel
    Produced by: Adrián Pablo Trinidad

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)

The ego is a Freudian fantasy, just like the id and the super-ego. These "psycho doctrines" are dead wrong and have led the psych world down a dead end and destructive path.

WE NEED MORE EGOS ON THE BACK BURNNER ..ALL HAVE EGOS AND THEY ARE USED AS  A PROTECTIVE SHIELD,HOWEVER A LEADER DRIVEN BY EGO IS  LACKING IN INNER SUSTANANCE AND ALL BECOMES CENTERED AROUND IT...THIS ISOLATES AND CREATES DEVISION WHERE THERE IS NO UNITY,THERE WILL BE UNREST...

Davids clearly demonstrates how leaders can lead by drawing on employee motivation. In contrast, traditional middle managers excel in fine-grained (micro-managed), and often coercive control to push people into cooperation. The fundamental of his 12 minute presentation is simply that true leadership releases constructive energy at the employee level, and far less effort need be invested by leaders.

                      Hmmm...

                      Sweet, nice.... irrelevant.

People do a job, or don't. It is their choice, and they stand or fall on the basis of the choice they make. If they don't, the person iv question will be OUT the door.

Leaders don't 'DO' the job. They just make sure that people do the job, or ensure that they are replaced by people who WILL do the job. If the Leader doesn't... the Leader will be OUT the door.

Managers don't 'DO' the job. They just make sure the Leaders are leading the people in their section to do the job, or ensure that the Leaders are replaced by people who WILL Lead their sections. If the Manager doesn't, the Manager will be OUT the door.

Executives don't 'DO' the job. They just make sure they have Managers who WILL ensure that the Leaders are making sure that the people DO the job. If the Executive doesn't, the Executive will be OUT the door.

The Owners don't 'DO' the job. They just make sure that they have executives who WILL ensure that the that the Managers are making sure that the Leaders are making sure that the people do their job. If they don't then the Owners will be OUT of business.

Lecturers don't 'DO' the job. They just make noise, absorb applause, and collect a Salary/bonus-check... until the company folds, or the speaking fees dry up..

I do the job, but I don't get to keep a job unless ALL of the People, ALL of the Leaders, ALL of the Managers, ALL of the Executives, and ALL of the owners do THEIR jobs. If even ONE of them decides 'Today, I'm just going to watch YouTube Leadership Videos all day long instead of doing my job!" ... then I can't do MINE.

The real problem in our days is that being a bad manager or leader has few consequences. In many big corporations, on many levels, it seems that a managers role is only to control and manipulate people. Performance is a key factor mostly on paper. You can be an excellent manager, motivating people to do a better job, achieving very good results and still never getting a promotion because people on the top likes someone else better. You can be a lousy manager, disliked by the team and still get bonuses and promotions because you are well connected. -is feudalism back?

Leadership is not a gift that either you have or don't. Although, some people may have natural predisposition towards leadership based on early environmental experiences, most individuals can hone and discipline themselves to develop in good leaders.

Leaders are born, not made. First born children are natural leaders. Leadership is about vision, mission, objectives, goals and activities (vimoga).

Activities . . . Praying, reading the Bible.

                            Goals . . . Seeking forgiveness

Objectives . . . Being free of sin.

Mission . . . selling the idea of heaven.

                            Vision . . . visualising the end i.e. heaven.

Traditionally power was being able to tell people what to do to achieve a goal. Today we know we can not only achieve a goal but at the same time keep happy colleagues by trusting them and enabling them through fx education, skill learning and tools. You give them the power to shape themselves and their workplace. Then they will follow you

When he returned to California he said he was very far advanced of the other students in his grade! I wish we could return to that type of schooling, where mainly reading, writing, and arithmetic were taught (and taught WELL). but of course, that is only a dream.

There are 4 different levers you can use to “make more money.” It’s not just about “speed” and “quality.”
