Would it look bad if I came to the interview with my question written down?

@Nikki Boza do a mock interview with a friend or colleague.. Go thru it over and over again until u get bored and can recite the answers even in your sleep... Especially like behavioral interview questions. Then when you go for the interview you will be confident enough. The issue is to identify what actually makes u sweat... Is it unpreparedness, is it the desire not to make mistake in the interview? Then work on it thru the mock.

Absolutely not. You want to jot down their responses so you can choose who you align with the most.

@Nikki Boza That's an EeeZeeee fix... Just remember that YOU ARE THE INTERVIEWER! You're interviewing them and NOT the other way around... this is what trips up so many candidates, creating unnecessary (inner conflict and anxiety) all because YOU gave THEM the power! Look at it like this... they need YOUR creativity and ideas for their company to stay afloat, and without YOU, they may as well hang up their "Going Out Of Business" signs now!

I had a co-worker do this and they said it made her look unprepared. She did not get the job. I know because I knew someone on the interview panel. I guess it is a gamble.

I always ask "what is your favorite thing about working here" or "what brought you to this position?", but that's it lol. Thank you for this! I felt like there were other questions to ask but didn't know which were the best ones

I have been in federal and city interviews where they asked if I had questions but clearly they were short on time and seemed annoyed when I would say Yes, I have questions.

A question I like to use (and used for an interview today) is "What positive and negative feedback do new hires give about the training process?" It stumped my interviewer but she was very happy to know that I was seeing myself wanting to be trained and wanting to be able to perform at my best. The questions mentioned in the video did help a lot but I changed the wording to make them more personal. She loved the three that I asked. I only wish I remembered to ask the company challenge question

I was asked once “why did you leave you last 2 employers?”

Respond: I did not see myself growing in the company and needed change.

In feedback I was advised that came across as negative but what could I have said instead? I have 2 interviews this week and I’m so nervous now.

My issue is usually that i ask all the questions i can come up with during the interview. So when they adk at the end I'm usually saying no i think i really asked about all i think we had to cover. Is that bad?

                                Hi J. T. O'Donnell and others,
I'm from India. I'm here again to thank J. T.
I have applied for many internships during my master's in Australia. But I was not successful in getting to interviews even. After finishing my master's, fortunately I got permanent residency very soon and did couple of Skype interviews. I was not successful again.
But, one fine moment, I'm just browsing YouTube and watched this video. And couple of weeks after that, I got an opportunity for my first face to face interview in Australia. I perfectly executed it till the end using all these eight questions. I heard good news in a week.
Panel members were surprised for my questions and took little time to answer me. They appreciated me for these questions. I could hardly control my laugh 😂. Yes, this video is definitely a game changer as J.T said.
                                Thanks a lot, J. T. I can't forget you in my life. 😊🙏

This works! I’m not joking. I just got my dream job!

I’ve been applying, interviewing and being unsuccessful for over a year since moving to this new town. I would never ask questions as I felt that there wasn’t anything needed to ask after they explained the job for me.

I asked them “what do they love about working there” and “what challenges are they facing and how will my job overcome it”

They were so impressed and loved talking about why they love their jobs and the manager LOVED the challenge question. It showed how much he loves his job and wants his company to grow stronger.

I applied yesterday, just got a phone call then saying I’ve got the job! My hearts racing so fast cause I had my doubts but holy crap. I actually got the job y’all!!

I want to thank you JT for this video. This video helped me get this job and you’ve honestly saved my future.

I always ask "what is a typical day like in this role?" Always works to measure if this is a good fit for you

For the last question (close), is it a good idea to ask for general feedback? Something likes "Regardless of the outcome, is it okay for you to give me feedback so I can improve myself in the future?"

However, with the ton of questions you’re asked, there’s often not enough time for you to ask all of these questions. If I’m being interviewed by multiple people, I break them up or I will hold most for hiring manager or direct report. I do ask each person that I interview with, What do you enjoy about working at ABC Company? I have an interview tomorrow and I plan to ask the first closing question, around skills that lack that they wish I had...I’ve been told that this question shows how well you receive feedback too.

I had a panel interview with 5 separate back to back interviews with 7 different people. I had definitely studied and was prepared beforehand. I stumbled onto this video expecting to not view it. I believed I was going to come up with questions as it played out. Boy was I glad I watched this video! I was able to formulate great questions based on the role and biopharma company. Everyone was impressed and took a potentially stringent interview into a natural conversation for each panel! We ran out of time every single time because of how natural it was. I was told I'd hear back in a week or two...got called the next day! Amazing and challenging opportunity in the biopharmaceutical realm. Pay attention to the video, make sure you edit the questions for the company and the person's role in the company. I did not use all of them but used them as a template to formulate appropriate questions. Thank you!!

I have a very similar styled interview coming up and also for a biopharma company. Would appreciate if you have any words of wisdom or tips you could share! Did you get more technical based questions or more scenario based? Any tough questions that had you thinking for a bit? Would appreciate any help!

I think the panel were impressed and the CIO said no one asked as about who is the most successful hire and unsuccessful hire. Just couple hours later the interview I was offered the position. Thanks for the tips.

I had worked with the same company for 19 years and it had been a long time since I interviewed. You came to the rescue!! I watched a lot of your videos over and over and took notes. With my notebook in hand with the questions you said to ask, well reversed, and dressed to impress, I nailed the initial interview. Subsequently, I interviewed with the CEO, COO, and other top members of management and landed my dream job with a huge pay increase! I even studied up on salary trends for my job title and counter offered to negotiate more base pay, a bigger bonus plan, and one more week of vacation. My advise to everyone watching your videos, follow her advise!! Do your homework, study the company your interviewing with, look up the person your interviewing with on Linkden and study them, study all the questions and answers and rehearse out loud. Be over prepared and you'll be confident and nail the interview! Thank you again!! Good luck with the job search everyone!!
