  • The Biology of Aging discipline of Integrated Biomedical Sciences program encompass lectures and laboratory experience in molecular, cellular, and physiological mechanisms of aging, thereby preparing students to thrive at a unique interface of bioscience and medicine. More than 160 faculty members at the Barshop Institute for Longevity and Aging Studies are actively involved in biomedical and clinical research associated with aging, such as Alzheimer’s Disease, Parkinson’s Disease, cancer, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease.
