To answer the last question...I would have gone for that drink. But I would have discussed empathy and tried to make him feel it, maybe using the concept of the virtue of selfishness or quantum theories that coincide with religious ideologies allowing people to understand they are just a part of a greater whole. It doesn't sound like this guy is a pathological liar, which is the only thing that would keep me from going for the drink. That is one category I cannot stand to be around, because it obscures reality. I think often times these categories can create ostracizing that contributes to the same qualities that prevent people from feeling empathy, making the field harmful for the world. I have always felt this field is more likely used to control people by governments and cover up corruption. Take ADD for example- usually associated with restlessness because people NEED physical activity, and yet people end up diagnosed and drugged (with manufactured meth basically) instead to help raise statistical test scores. This country is disturbing. Personally, I prefer honest and good psychopaths over normal people, but cannot stand sociopaths or pathological liars AT ALL. Do not even feel comfortable in the same room.

A psychopath should not be held. Especially a 'partial psychopath'. There are levels to these things. And I absulutely would have went for the drink.

This guy is a psychopath and he is using people's curiosity about psychopaths to manipulate people into thinking capitalism somehow grows psychopaths. Capitalism is about providing something that someone else wants or needs and then engaging in a MUTUALLY consensual transaction. Capitalism is that you are the owner of the products of your transactions.

I like how you bash capitalism for having psychopaths, then go on to say allot of people have these traits and that doesn't make them psychopaths... Both capitalism and other forms of markets have semi-psychotic people, to say just capitalist have that trait is wrong. Take a look at the democratic debate with that checklist in hand

From my observation, oil and gas company owners and executives - perhaps 100% of those men are psychopaths, ruthless self-interest people, zero care of right an wrong, brutal power desires, money is their god. From my studies, there is a race of psychopaths, pure control freaks on a large scale, the media, Hollywood, politics, banking - truly a race of people with psychopath genetics, born into it, nothing can be done to change it - the same people that control who is to be censored on yutube.

As Dr. Victor Szasz, a psychiatrist who wrote "The Myth of Mental Illness" once described it the DSM is like a claim registry prospectors register their ownership of valuable minerals in where various mental health professionals register their claims to precious maladies. The obvious reason that it's grown so much in size over the years is because the more people you can label mentally ill pragmatically the more potential patients you have available to make money from.

Being a psychopath doesn’t make you a bad person by default. The defining characteristic is a supreme lack of empathy. A lot of the other traits are the result of the psychopath learning how to appear more normal. After that, it can go either way. But when it goes bad, it often goes real bad. You have a highly trained manipulator with a severe lack of empathy on the loose...

Not all the mental health professionals are so eager to diagnose people with some condition just because they match the criteria on the DSM (or ICD). They are just tools, not the bible. Clinical experience, common sense, years of studies are applied before even thinking about diagnose something. And the majority of the times there is no need for a diagnosis

Take for a couple weeks, MAYBE 2 or 3 months, and then see if they helped your body/mind fix itself. The human body is VERY good at that. It worked for me. I think (which I know is NOT proof) if I would have kept taking them I would have become dependent.
